How Insroom Works
Local AI Processing: Insroom operates entirely using Chrome's built-in AI models. All AI functions including writing assistance, translation, and summarization are processed locally on your device.
Offline Functionality: Once activated, Insroom can function completely offline without any internet connection required for its core features.
No Data Transmission: Your content, documents, and any text you process through Insroom never leaves your device.
Data Collection and Privacy
What We DON'T Collect:
- • Your personal documents or content
- • Browsing history or website data
- • Personal identification information
- • Usage patterns or behavior analytics
- • Any form of user-generated content
What We DO Collect (Only During Activation):
• Device Code: A locally-generated, encrypted device identifier used solely for license activation
This device code is cryptographically generated on your device and contains no personal information. It cannot be reverse-engineered to reveal any details about you or your device.
Activation Process
Insroom requires a one-time activation when first installed. During this process:
- Your device generates a unique, encrypted device code locally
- This code is transmitted to our servers only to verify your license
- No other information is collected or transmitted during activation
- After activation, Insroom operates completely offline
