How Insroom works
Local AI processing: Insroom runs entirely with Chrome's built-in AI models. Writing assistance, translation, and summarization are processed on your device.
Offline functionality: After activation, Insroom can work completely offline and its core features do not require an internet connection.
No data transmission: Your content, documents, and any text processed through Insroom never leave your device.
Data collection and privacy

What we collect only during activation:
Device code: A locally generated encrypted device identifier used solely for license activation.
This device code is created on your device and carries no personal information. It cannot be reverse engineered to reveal details about you or your device.
Activation process
Insroom requires a one-time activation when first installed. During this process:
- Your device generates a unique encrypted device code locally
- The code is sent only to verify your license
- No other information is collected or transmitted during activation
- After activation, Insroom works completely offline
