Bsyncx privacy policy
A browser extension for syncing X posts to Binance Square
Last updated:
Bsyncx is an independently developed third-party browser extension with no affiliation, sponsorship, or partnership with Binance or X. Product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Privacy overview
Bsyncx operates without its own server or account system. The extension handles only the data required to sync a post, and that data flows directly between your browser and Binance Square.
Data the extension handles
Binance Square API key: The key you enter on the options page is stored in local extension storage through chrome.storage.local. It is sent only to Binance Square as an authentication credential when the extension makes a request.
The post you choose to sync: After you enable syncing on X and publish successfully, Bsyncx reads that post's text and attached images or video and submits them to Binance Square. Video cover frames are generated locally in your browser.
Sync toggle state: The extension stores one local boolean value to remember whether syncing was enabled the last time you used it.
Data we do not collect
Your X timeline, direct messages, or follower lists
Content you did not explicitly choose to sync
Data from other websites
Browsing history, location, or device identifiers
Analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
Cookies or advertising data
Where data goes
To complete a sync you initiate, data is sent only to destinations operated or issued by Binance:
binance.com: Used to create posts, validate your API key, and check media processing status.
Temporary upload address issued by Binance: Image and video bytes are uploaded to a one-time storage address returned dynamically by Binance Square for that submission.
Bsyncx sends data nowhere else. Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used beyond the extension's core function. Content published to Binance Square is governed by Binance's privacy policy.
Read Binance's privacy policyRetention and deletion
Your API key and sync toggle state remain in your browser until you remove them:
- Open the Bsyncx options page, clear the API Key field, and save
- Uninstall Bsyncx from chrome://extensions to delete all local extension storage
Bsyncx does not retain post content after syncing completes. Manage published posts within Binance Square.
Extension permissions
Access to x.com: Places the sync toggle in the compose toolbar and reads the post you are writing and explicitly choose to sync.
Access to binance.com: Validates your key and submits the content you selected to Binance Square.
Media upload permission (optional): This permission is off by default. You can grant it manually in the options page to upload images or video to a temporary address issued by Binance. Text-only syncing does not require it.
Data use commitments
Bsyncx will never:
Sell your data
Share your data with third parties
Track your browsing activity
Use your data for advertising or analytics
Changes to this policy
If Bsyncx's data practices change, this page and the date at the top will be updated. Significant changes will also be noted in the extension's release notes.
